Elk in Evergreen

A friend and I went looking for Elk in places like “Elk Meadow” and “Echo Lake”. It was a beautiful drive full of fall color but the only Elk we found were grazing along the side of the road in Evergreen. #Stillcounts

This buck was apparently trying to stay camouflaged.

We pulled over to take snap a few shots, not sure if we’d see any more elk anywhere else and it turned out to be a good idea because we didn’t see any more all day. The heard walk right past the car, letting us get some very close shots.
